Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She graduated with the B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in theater, film as well as television. She started acting on stage before appearing in independent, mainstream and TV series. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The series both received reviews, and she also took home a variety of awards. She started her career as an actress in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include the Broadway performance that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to her career in movies the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. The role she played as a regular in the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
