Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. After training in kickboxing boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was only 18. Ladd was able to beat three times within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents ended in less than a second. Ladd returned to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen took on Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia is superior to Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's records as an amateur were marred. Ladd returned from the defeat, beating Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to make her record 8-1. Aspen has signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her professional career. Invicta 11 saw her take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score one of the fight's TKOs in the initial round. Invicta Fc 16 represented her first fight with a bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission during the second round. Aspen used her superior fighting skills to defeat McGill and then ended the fight with a third-round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd failed to meet weight. But, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. The fight was won via TKO in the second-round. In her last bout for Promotion, she defeated Sijara Ebanks with a unanimous win in Invicta FC 21. Her UFC debut took place on UFC Fight Night 118 at which point she was up against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina using ground and pound to prevail by TKO in the 2nd round. She continued her dominance and scored an even impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd was able to beat Evinger to the punch in the first round and earned a Performance of the Night prize. Ladd fought in her debut big fight in The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fighters had a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd beating her opponent by a unanimous vote with both fighters claiming one of the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in just 16 seconds and ended her win streak. She bounced back, and defeated Yana Kunitskaya during the third round of UFC which was broadcast on ESPN 7. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A man was charged with being an accomplices after the fact of murder, in connection with the murder of Terrell Sims. Columbia Police Department officers had searched for Sims throughout the week of Christmas however they could not locate him. They took in Taylor Wardlaw and charged him with accessory following the murder incident with regard to Sims' death.
