Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, who was a manufacturer of tool and dies, as well as a former employee in a manufacturing plant. She was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was thought to be academically gifted when she started two grades when she was five. She graduated with a high school certificate from Saegertown located in Saegertown in Pennsylvania in the year 1975. Winner of Miss Crawford County, she took part in her first Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone as well as her aunt relocated out of New Jersey to New Jersey in order to pursue a career as a model in 1977. They signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency after a few months. Then, she moved to Europe and spent a full year in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone did, however, become dissatisfied with the acting and modeling in Europe. She decided to keep her acting career going as an actress while she was in Europe. Stone appeared in Woody Allen's movie "Stardust Memories" at the age of 20. The film was met with mixed reviews.
